"Multiple format edits in FCP -  Working with Exotic Media"

This is the second of lecture on Multiformat editing techniques... it will recap some info from the first lecture "Developing Strategies for Multiformat Editing" and will continue on to show easy diagnostic tricks you can use to evaluate Conversion options for multiformat editing.
Not sure if your media will be compatible? Will FCP properly adjust your frame rates? Aspects? Color Spaces? Thinking about buying a camera for your production, but want to know how FCP will behave with the media ahead of time? I'll be showing techniques to encourage DIY testing using FCP to help you answer dozens of format question for yourself!
Again - This will be an overview with enough info for first time filmmakers, as well as experienced cutters who want an casual peek behind the Tech curtain.

SF Cutters: www.sfcutters.org

SF Cutters is the World's first Apple Final Cut Pro User Group forming in March of 2000.

That's right, the concept of a DV User Group, complete with networking, screenings and tech info centered around Apple Final Cut Pro was born right here in San Francisco. Currently there are 100 chapters of Final Cut Pro and ProApps User Groups based upon our model. We are proud to be the founders of this exciting movement, dubbed in 1999 as "The DV Revolution". Viva!

SF Cutters meets monthly in San Francisco and the Bay Area Feb thru Oct, the schedule may vary from year to year.
